Not that I don't have enough to do setting up in a new city, but I've been cheerfully clicking away at the various Grow Games over at Eyemaze all morning - the games are ridiculously cute, but not in an irritating way, and wonderfully simple and frustratingly complex at the same time. You are given a handful of panels, and you have to select which order to click them in - they will grow or change in relation to/with each other, and the point is to grow each panel to its max. The games are reminiscent of a lot of the game design theory of Danc over at Lost Garden, though they lack the feedback he so frequently discusses. Still, a great waste of half an hour ... or an hour ... or a few hours .... [via Rock, Paper, Shotgun]

last night i spend 4 hours to get through this game and grow2. i could barely keep my eyes open but it HAD to be solved ...wWAAaawwaaaahahaaaaaa
I played one these once. Free web-based crap...
It haunts me still.
I've been playing at eyezmaze.com for years. Roshambo level of 14 lol. I just wish he had a chance to produce games on a larger medium. I believe Lineage 2 had him create a game for the Korean fan base just to hype the launch a while back. I think it's still playable via the website.
these games are classics, all the same but unique at the same time
Dag nab it Maggie. You just made me waste an hour on that durn game.
Grow games ftw!
Ha! This time I'm way ahead of you! I've ALREADY wasted hours of my time playing all of these games for years now, so I have no reason to go back and do... wait... why am I playing this game again? Oh God, no! Noooooo!
I can't get past the first grow game. the one with like the sphere world. Hard as balls (to me). And apprently it's been ahwile since i'v actually been to the site as that island grow game is all new
I have a love/hate relationship with the Grow games that goes years back...
Ah, I remember the original grow on ABS 4 years ago.
Personally I prefer tower defence.
Dude.... I have a five page essay due tomorrow. I need better self control...
For fans of Grow games. I humbly suggest Sandbox of God:

It is excellent.
Congratulations Greene, you have just cursed everyone to a Monday of anti-productiveness. :P
Wow, I remember playing Grow games when there were only like 4 different games on their website.
Thaks for killing my free time Kotaku, thanks! :P
So simple, so weird... yet so addictive. Can't. Stop. Playing.
I'm a pretty big fan of Grow games, but Grow Island for some reason just felt decidedly...inelegant, I guess. I suppose part of it was giving me all of the animations for the "best ending" while only giving me a tally of an imperfect ending. I think the alternative ending also caused there to be a significantly buggier code.
Oh well, Grow games rock.
why won't someone just tell me how to beat it so i can be done with this thing!
Bolt - Pick - Wood - Smokestack - Steering Wheel - Battery - Chip - Burner.
