This Day in Gaming, September 17th

1999: The Braveheart game for PC is officially patched. Fixes include: William Wallace no longer drives drunk or verbally abuses the Jewish community. I'm not gonna lie, it's a slow TDIG and when I'm bored I try to get Kotaku sued with all my might.

2000: Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 is released by 3DO for the N64 in the US. There are a lot of Army Man games - we are not necessarily saying there are too many - but we are saying that 50% of all games published feature little men made out of green plastic.

2003: Blizzard releases Blackthorne for GBA in the US. It's a hybrid side-scrolling puzzle game similar to the SNES version. At this point it's odd to think of Blizzard doing anything outside of the Warcraft universe, let alone anything off of the PC. Even Diablo III will probably have a big green orc on the box.
