This Day in Gaming, October 24th

1997: Sony announces a software buyback of Playstation titles. It's a move in response to the amount of PS titles retailers had been (expensively) stocking. This doesn't make much sense to me, since the console was doing pretty well at the time and retailers should have been able to move the titles starting holiday shopping season.

2002: Activision releases Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for PS2 and GC in the US. Did skateboarding bring back videogames, or did videogames bring back skateboarding? We're just glad to see rollerblading as basically dead.

2003: Eidos releases Disney's 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure for PS in the US. Instead of some wild goose chase Disney story, Patch was actually a bad Dalmatian who spent the week visiting bars, brothels and the occasional fire hydrant.
