2001: Hudson Soft releases Bloody Roar 3 for PS2 in Japan. You aren't just a fighter; you're an animal trapped in the heart of a fighter. My only issue with this combat zoomorphism is that I know I'd get stuck with some crappy animal. Like a manatee. And then I'd get mad and accidentally transform while fighting a motorboat.
2001: Konami releases Zone of the Enders for PS2 in Japan. I'm usually a big fan of anything with robots, but this game just didn't do it for me. It started with the title. The word "enders" annoys me to no (end).
