1993: Konami releases Castlevania Chronicals in Japan on the Sharp X68000. The game wouldn't make its way out of Japan until 2001 through PS ports. It's commendable when companies give fans their previously unreleased games - even if it takes 8 years, and the hardcores have already imported Sharp X68000s for one game.
2002: EA releases the suitably titled Electronic Arts Collectors' Edition Action and Racing combos for PS. Game bundles are just like those DVD bundles - there's always a stinker. Guess which one from the Action pack: 007 Tomorrow Never Dies, Medal of Honor, and 007 Racing. Why do companies try to bundle in the crap for free?
To tip the scales in a buyer's mind with such a titillating product?
To boost the moral of crap-ass development teams?
To pull one over on said crap-ass development teams, possibly due to a lost bet?
To punish said crap-ass development teams by labeling theirs "the stinker".
2005: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ is released in China for GBA. The only reason this release is at all notable, aside from stepping outside dreaded video game nationalism, is this: if WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ were only released in China, weekend-writer McWhertor would paddle a boat there if necessary, fashioning oars out of bamboo and 100% functional PSPs - if only to hold the game once in his hands before collapsing from fanboy exultation/paddling nonstop across the ocean.
