1995: Konami releases Castlevania: Dracula X in North America for SNES - a day earlier than Japan gets it. Sure it was just a day, but it was a long, cold, Castlevanialess day, wasn't it Ashcraft?
1999: 989 Studios releases NFL Xtreme 2 for PS. Why do the gods spite me with this unword? To clarify yet again: The NFL is not "Xtreme". Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball? Probably a little "Xtreme".
2004: Sega releases Puyo Pop Fever for GC in Japan. This game would have been Tetris if the Russians were taking ecstasy during its development.
2005: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas receives a new ESRB Rating of AO (Adults Only) due to the "hot coffee" mod. Shortly following, unicorns return to Earth and an entire generation of youth is saved. Side note: any minor tech savvy enough to find, download and install this patch (nearly 100% probably) can access content way raunchier than two polygons f'ing. Thanks Jonathan!
