This Day in Gaming, January 29th

1996: Apogee Software releases Duke Nukem 3D for PC in the US. We are not going to stoop so low as to make a Duke Nukem Forever joke...not so much because we are bigger than that, but more due to the difficulty of rhyming "Nukem".

2001: Infogrames Entertainment announces their acquisition of Hasbro and exclusive rights to Hasbro's titles for 15 years (ranging from Monopoly to Dungeons and Dragons). You thought EA controlling the NFL was bad, but that's nothing compared to he who wields the +100 longsword in the sanctuary of free parking. Mark Wilson
