1988: Square Co. releases Final Fantasy 2 for NES in Japan. The game never makes it stateside for the NES, something unheard of for Final Fintasy titles today. The game is famous for its debut of chocobos - and where would we be without chocobos?

1993: Capcom releases Mega Man X for SNES in Japan. It's the first title in the "X" series, which is confusing. The original Mega Man is not "X" even though he looks VERY similar. Whatever, it's all Mega Man to me.

1996: Capcom releases Mega Man 8 for PS in Japan. Would Mega Man and Mega Man X get along if they ran into each other at a bar? Or would it become this huge I-stole-better-guns-from-evil-robots pissing match? Mark Wilson
