Word has it that developer Blizzard has given the "ok" to a Diablo film adaptation. Legendary Pictures (Batman Begins, 300) listed a Diablo flick as "in development." It has since been removed, but Legendary's World of Warcraft movie is still listed as "in development." Legendary Pictures has a close relationship with Blizzard and is apparently creating a motion picture based on the entire Warcraft franchise and not just the MMORPG as suggested by the movie company's webpage. When contacted about the unannounced Diablo movie, Blizzard said it had "no comment to make on this." No comment or not, at least the Diablo flick is rumored to be in good hands.
