On the show floor of Tokyo Game Show, Konami has 48 MGS4 booths setup. But to prep gamers for complex controls without unlimited play time, you first sit through a Disneyesque military briefing complete with big screens, fog machines and betrayals—all to entertain fans while they learn the fundamentals of playing MGS4. It's no one-on-one tutorial with Ryan Payton, but it's a close second.

Holy crap. I'm getting flashback about the old Virtual World arcades.
is this the game that is being sold in two parts to pay for sony servers?
both are going to retail for £39.99 one off-line the other the on-line part?
I find it hilarious that the guy is wearing an airforce uniform, when MGS4 is all about ground combat.
Whoever was the advisor for the costumes = fail lol.
I can see why they need to do that. MGS controls have never exactly been intuitive. That said, this game=boner
Pure awesomeness.
Was that guy giving the presentation half? The lighting in there sucked, I couldn't really tell.
Reminds me of those laser tag briefings. Pretty cool. Did the guy who was pulled out for being a 'traitor' get to play?
@cannonfodder: Even if the single player wasn't worth the money on its own why are you blaming Sony? This game splitting will help Konami a lot more and they are the ones making the decision.
A little cliche but it wasn't half bad. The execution of the traitor was a nice touch.
brings back memories of japan.
Those guys didn't seem too enthusiastic.
@Witzbold: Yeah seriously, where are the masks and the excessive amount of walkie talkies?
Lol at traitor capturing.
I have to say, it looks pretty epic.
As Witzbold has mentioned, so they're taking orders from a US Airforce Master Sergeant while the Sergeant First Class from the Army is busy :3. I see what they're doing there.
I don't know why but I was reminded of the NERV HQ when the screens went all blood red.
@Atheist Jew: I do remember Kojima-san saying the guy can speak english, but also Japanese or something.
That was pretty neat, to bad all we get here are crapticalular booth babes in the states. wtb technology enthusiasm from japan in america
Yep, it certainly looks like something at the beginning of a Disneyland ride.
Those guys are definitely not good actors, but even so, that's pretty cool. Definitely better than Disney's shoddy attempt at audience participation at E3.
@cannonfodder: You know MGS isn't made by Sony, right? Seriously, this has nothing to do with Sony besides Konami's decision to make the game on their system.
That whole killing of the "traitor" at the end is something you won't find at Disneyland. =)
Was that a water bottle with a antenna sticking out...
So I hope those guys come to my house when i get this!
I thought there were no black people in japan. My whole perception of the country is now shattered.
@AndroidKing: Theres a lot of black people here, but most are from Africa and not here legally.
Im not being racist, but thats not really a joke either.
You can see a lot of them in Roppongi hanging around trying to get people to go into strip clubs.
...so it takes 2:44 to load a level?
Why is there a picture of Gene Simmons on the far side of the screen?
Ha, Asain MacGyver busted up on that kid, that kid was scared. Thats what you get for messing with the Foxhounds son...
Effing fabulous. Did anyone notice the Red-Baret-wearing speaker's jacket reads "McGuyver"?
