The story behind the snaps: We were briefed by a random white dude in a colonel's uniform yelling in Japanese, there was some kind of traitor/intruder who was promptly shot, and then we were loosed upon it.

This game looks awesome, If this game is released before Christmases, and the price of the PS3 drpos to 399.99 Sony will start the new year in the right direction..
Any word if they are going to release this build on the PSN? mmmm Metal gear demo sounds tasty.
@shawnpfiore: March is the release... theres hopes for an early release. But a delay is more likely :-p.
That little part at the bottom of one of the screen's that reads "Middle East" leads me to believe that this game will take place in many, different areas.
For once, a Metal Gear Solid that involves long distance travel!
Is there a combo for the statue-crotch-grab thing or is does that have its own button?
can't wait
PSN needs the demo!
@Rabidsquirrel:
I know Konami states at E3 2007 simultaneous world wide release, but unless this is a typo then you are wrong.

@shawnpfiore: lol checked the link... ain't that something. Well lets hope for 2007 (cause trust me that would make me one happy metal gear player). But I'm gonna play the pessimistic roll and say they didn't jump 3-5 months ahead of schedule all of a sudden. Thats just not normal with video games.
mgs4 single player is releasing in march but online should be released this year. can't wait.
who is matt buchanan?
never seen that name before
@AroundTheFur: I usually write for Kotaku's less fluorescent brother, Gizmodo, but I snuck aboard for TGS.
It looked nice, I played with the Metal Gear Online it was fun cept fucking auto aim SUCKS. I should have made sure to turn that shit off before the match started.
i hear matt buchanan once killed 38 men in CS using only a knife and a twnikle in his eye.
*he even used a twinkle too. and prob. hax.
