Featured in such games as Ape Escape, EyeToy: Monkey Mania and, yes, even Metal Gear Solid 3, Sony's loveable apes have become icons for the PlayStation brand. Now, gamers can bring the apes to their own hands, with these two import-only Sarugetchu ape puppets from Taito.
Sporting head mounted warning lights and either maracas or bananas, the two appear to be of the "boxing nun" toy design, but may be require more dextrous, do-it-yourself hand motion. They're only $15 and ship in July from National Console Support, perfect for curing your summer gaming doldrums.
We'll be securing at least a half-dozen for any potential videos and executive interviews when we need the apes to ask the hard questions.
