    Microsoft to Watchdog: Nuh-Uh!

redringdead.jpgMicrosoft might have declined to talk to the UK Watchdog program before the story aired about the reliability or lack thereof of the Xbox 360 hardware, but they certainly are quick with a response once the segment has made a few cycles around the old intertubes. In a statement to GamesIndustry.biz, Microsoft once again denies any widespread issues with the system, admitting only to a small percentage of faulty systems.

"It's important to note that there is no systemic issue with Xbox 360 - each incident is unique and these customer inquiries are being handled on a case-by-case basis."

This sort of thing is really hard to track via the internets, simply because you don't really get people posting long, drawn-out blog articles about how their 360 has worked perfectly for the past year. People with hardware problems are generally the only ones who speak out. My system has been fine since launch, while Crecente is replacing his more often than some people change their underwear. Almost afraid that if I jump on the 'MS hardware is poo' bandwagon my system will somehow know and die accordingly.
