The Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter Pie In The Sky
Fighter Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is an interesting tie-in. On one hand, you've got MK and on the other DC Comics. Interesting! But MK creator Ed Boon has even bigger dreams. More » -

Free Street Fighter Album Is Probably Worth Getting
To help promote the release today of SSFIIHDR, Capcom have put out an...album.The Street Fighter Underground Remix. It's for the PSN, it's actually pretty good, and it's free. More » -
Super Street Fighter II HD Delayed In The UK - Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix will be out this week on Xbox Live Arcade. And in the US, it'll also be out on the PlayStation Network. But the UK? No dice. A Capcom rep has told Edge that, when it comes to the PS3, the game "will not be released in the UK this week and has no official release date". No official release date? Ruh roh.

Street Fighter II HD Spinning Bird Kicks Its Way To A November 26 Release
Enough with the conjecture already. When Capcom announced their NXE "Wii Channel" for SFIIHD earlier today, they also let slip the game's release date. It's November 26. As you can see above. Just in case you missed it earlier. That's for the 360 at any rate; since the 26th is a Wednesday, PS3 users can most likely expect it on November 27.

Everybody VS Everybody
The Ultimate-Ultimate Fighting Game Team Up
Oftentimes an idea that begins as something completely ridiculous can morph into something that's pretty damn compelling. Take this back page ad from ToyFare magazine, Wizard's guide to all things tiny, plastic, and on my fireplace mantle. First you take mortal Kombat VS Street Fighter. That's one splendid idea, isn't it? Then you add in Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, Predator, Aliens, Rocky, Sectaurs, etc., and things start to get pretty silly...but damn if I wouldn't shell out good money for this game. ToyFare Editor Justin Aclin agrees.
Hey, folks. Big fan of the site. I'm the Editor for ToyFare Magazine, and I wanted to draw your attention to our new fake "Back Page Ad" that we just posted on our blog. Not necessarily because I think it's hysterical, but because the more we thought about such a game, the more we really, really wanted to play it.
Thank you, Justin. Your disembodied head atop an action figure's body is an inspiration to us all.

Ryu, Your Face Has Changed, Man
At Capcom's Street Fighter event in Tokyo over the weekend, there was an SF history exhibit that tracked Ryu's character art over the years from the original Street Fighter to SFIV — and all the sequels Capcom spun off in between. By this Capcom chart, there have been 15 incarnations of Ryu over the past twenty years. Think Capcom's stopping now? Ha, fat chance.

Street Fighter: The (Sucky) Movie Gets A Blu-Ray Release
Is there a market out there that needs/wants to stare intently at high-definition renditions of Kylie Minogue's butt cheeks, Jean Claude's chest cheeks and Raul Julia's...cheeks to the extent we need Street Fighter released on Blu-Ray? We'd like to think there isn't, and that the release of the forgettable, regrettable 90's tie-in is just part of Capcom's hype machine for Street Fighter IV (the disc is packed with "bonus" SFIV promo material), but these days, you never can tell. It'll be out on February 10, just in time to coincide with the console release of SFIV and the theatrical release of the Chun-Li movie.

Complete Street Fighter IV Character Roster Revealed?
An eagle-eyed Belgian gamer at the N.E.X.T. games expo took a pic of what is probably the character select screen from Street Fighter IV's console version.
Unless it isn't. Internets is internets, after all.
Assuming it is legit though, there are at least 26 playable characters - all the usual gang of Blanka, Chun Li, Zangief et al plus returning favourites like Gouken. There is some speculation that Rose from Street Fighter Alpha is lurking demurely on the bottom row.

Fast Food Mascots in Street Fighter Alpha
Taking us up to the end tonight, some humor. I find this fitting because I may be working in a fast food restaurant come Christmas. It's a long hilarious story whose punchline rhymes with "schmaid schmoff." No not from Kotaku. Anyhow, I'm super pissed the Hamburglar is not in this game. Nor the Fry Guys. Then again, when was the last time you saw Wendy's bewbs? Ronald as a laconic Joker-esque figure is a nice touch, although my guess is they'd have to tone down his finishing move just to get the T-for-teen rating, too.
The original artist is Lysol-Jones.
