You've seen what a 5 year-old can do on DDR, he's was a 14 year-old can do on In the Groove. It's like he's Riverdancing or something. And the kid isn't even happy with his score!
Thanks, Dobbsy_jr!

That panting at the end, while thoroughly understandable, still gives me the jibblies.
So before the video even starts it says plain as day the game is "In the Groove". You miss that one Brian? Nevermind the typo in the "article"..you can't even get the name of the game right! Jeez.. I guess anyone can be an "internet journalist". No need for accuracy or fact checking! I guess I shouldn't complain.. you get what you pay for, thank god this site is free!
As somebody who has seen a AA on Max 300, using a bar, or in this case table, as leverage is not as impressive as somebody who does it freestanding.
Wow, Ganguro. That was rude, especially for someone invited to comment on this site.
Heehee, you changed the name to In the GROVE.
Thanks Fungus. ;)
I defend Ganguro's right to rude and snarky comments. This site is part of the Gawker empire isn't it?
You know, I'm usually a grammar tight ass when it comes to journalism, presentation and such, but I've come to be relaxed when it comes to sites like Kotaku, Gizmodo, etc. Mostly because of the sheer amount of content you guys put up on a daily basis. I suppose most people don't realise that articles take time and effort to write, sometimes not allowing time for more than a quick once over. Over the year or so that I've read from Kotaku, I've noticed that so many people are so quick to point out mistakes and then proceed to pull out the lynch rope, in public. These commentators need to pull their panties out of their asses; it's just a freaking typo. If you notice one (and it bothers you that much), just send 'em an email. That's what it's there for. Goddamn attention-whores. You guys need to understand that the articles you read in magazines and newspapers usually have an army of proofreaders to go through the material and dot every "i". In an online context, where speed and the amount of content is essential, this can only be a rarity. Perfection comes with the price of less articles for you to read and enjoy, and if that's what you want, go look for it elsewhere. Some people just don't fucking appreciate.
For the record, I believe arch0wl is the current best stepmania-er (on the computer, with fingers).
Arch0wl was the best finger-player I've seen, until he quit. His famous video of Quasar on 1.5x can be found here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=nxx4Y7xhS5Y&search=arch0wl I made a nice homage of him, anyways. iamchris4life is a really cool guy though, I've had the pleasure of talking to him a couple times.
Wow, that is crazy. I've never been able to play DDR/clones properly. Oh hey Geoff, sup cutie?
I'm a moderately okay DDR-er, but that is just recockulous. I bow down to his mighty skills.
Hey I'd be pissed to if I went through all that crap to miss one step at the end. I hope he gets back to us with a better score after he catches his breath in a couple days.
meh, I still say "I'm gonna play some DDR" when I mean "In the Groove". DDR's kinda become the generic name for dancing games, like Kleenex, or Band-Aid, or referring to a person's nappy goatee as a "Crecente". :)X Although it's interesting to learn that "sitting on something" is the secret of the DDR masters, I'm gonna keep standing, since I get more exercise that way, and that's half the reason I play. Also, on the subject of In The Groove and DDR, is there any more information on Konami's lawsuit against Roxor that has prevented them from making any further ITG games?
The video is actually very old, IIRC. I'm sure, if he kept playing, that he was able to end up getting 4 stars (all Fantastics) on the song later on. Personally, I'd like to see how well he did on Vertex^2 on Expert.
I realize it was rude. For that Brian I apologize, just do a little fact checking before you post. Typos are ok with me; I'm no grammar Nazi.. I just hate seeing sites where things are posted and are blatantly wrong, but passed off as journalism. "Just the facts ma'am..Just the facts"
Thanks for apologizing. I appreciate that. :)
As Ricky+Safety stated, the kid's raping the bar. That's a real advantage - I can't pass Max 300 freestanding, but I can pull a high-B/low-A if I use the bar for the whole song. There was a DDR freestyler group that did a whole routine about that, even.
