I really have no idea when Flagship Studios' Hellgate: London is supposed to ship—who can keep up anymore?—but I am now well aware that Weta's Hellgate: London collectibles are shipping this month for sure.
A bit pricey at $225.00 USD each, but they sure look fancy. Perfect for your glass display case that no one is allowed to touch, smoke near or stare at for extended periods of time. In fact, don't even look at the pictures online too long, lest you somehow degrade the real-life versions. They're that precious.
There are four up for pre-order, including the Hunter, Cabalist, Templar Male and Templar Female, but only 1,000 editions of each. The Hunter and Cabalist are both female, too, but you've probably figured that out by the carefully sculpted breasts.
Anyone out there planning on dropping almost a cool grand on all four? If so, can I borrow a tenner?
Hellgate: London Collectibles [Weta, thanks Dennise!]

No wonder its expensive, its a Weta item.
At least you will know its high quality stuff. :)
how am i supposed to be a fan if the game isn't even out
I really wish Hellgate wasn't pay to get the most out of it x.X I was so excited about that game before they announced that.
That model is pretty cool though. I love their character design. Like a futuristic knight. I think that's part of my fear about the elite content. What if the awesome looking templars used in all the promotional material you have to pay for >_<
I can imagine my overweight, greasy, balding, single computer teacher beating off to this thing.
@Zim:
*sigh* Me too! I was thinking how awesome it was having a Diablo-esque game come out. Then I hear I have to invest more time in this than I can spare.
It is an MMO correct?
@poematik14:
Tsk tsk you're imagining him/it? Wow you sick perve...I get what you're saying. But you're still sick! =D
In my day, we bought action figures to play with. Not to pose them and such. What do I know anyway. The last action figure I bought was an Egon figure from the Ghostbusters era.
This is 225 freakin' US Dollars?! That's almost as much as a Wii! I know I'm not that versed in action/model figures or whatnot. But 225 Dollars! Sheet! With that price it should have opposable limbs and such (and by opposable limbs I mean Choclate limbs with a creamy caramel center in the middle!).
@BigChiefSmokem: Maybe you're a big fan of game development? I dunno!
Is Diablo 3 I mean.... hellgate just supposed to drink as much money out of my pocket as it can or something?
Seriously, You want 225 dollars for this, then you want 15 a month for you're vip access. And I'm gonna need a computer to play this so that 1300 bucks. And I'm gonna need an internet connection so that another 30 a month. Plus I'm gonna need food and a place to live if I'm gonna you know, be able to live, oh and power too, need that to fricken run everything. Clothing might be useful, but I guess I can just ware the box.
So I'm like a fucking two-bazillion dollars in fricken debt, thanks a lot hellgate!
@Zim: without the subscription fees you would not have anything to get the "most out of" beyond the boxed game content. Its really just an option. I mean what you are saying is equivilant to *sigh* I wish hellgate london didn't have additional content.
That Hunter looks so professional and awesome.
This statue is bad ass, much like the one for Starcraft II.
I have the money, but I'll be damn to spend it on something I can only look at.
I'm guessing with even 1000 of each, they're going to have some surplus. They're nicely done and all, but without a really hot property (still up in the air) and/or some serious female flesh (fully clothed doesn't cut it in that industry), they're going to have trouble finding a lot of takers at $225.
It looks mighty kick ass to bad about the price...
Remember the good old days when a game, movie, book or whatever actually had to be released before it had fans and expensive merchandise created to be purchased by fans?
I do.
Also... get off my lawn you damn kids.
If the game becomes big they could end being worth a small fortune.
They definitely are sharp though.
Sorry Hellgate, I already dropped $250 on the Starcraft II Tychus Findlay statue. So much cooler. :)
