LucasArts Clarifies Star Wars Force Footage

LucasArts watcheth. Remember that Star Wars Game Footage we posted yesterday? It wasn't.

Chris Baker, a publicist at LucasArts, was kind enough to shoot me an email, explaining the origins of the footage. No, it's not in-game. It's not for any particular Star Wars game. It definitely isn't for Dark Forces 5: Jedi Knight 4: Jedi Outcast 3: Jedi Academy 2: Jedi Knight 1 or whatever the next Jedi Knight game will be called. It's also not KOTOR 3 The characters in the game will not 'necessarily' be in any future games.

    So what is it?

This series of Force-power displays was created for internal use at LucasArts as a target for what the first Star Wars game created exclusively for next-gen consoles should play like. It was not originally intended for distribution outside of LucasArts, but we liked it so much, we just had to share it.

We can't blame you. The only information available about the game is that it takes place between Revenge of the Sith and the firstStar Wars (note to fanboys: I don't roll with that 'A New Hope' crap). Obviously, the game is strongly Force oriented.

Whatever it is, LucasArts, bring it to the Wii
