Went to Spike TV 2005 Video Game Awards last night in Los Angeles, since Kotaku has been nominated as "Best Gaming Blog" (of course). Had a good time to my surprise. I had watched the VGA the previous two years and didn't think much of the award show. This year, maybe it was because I was sitting a couple rows away from Samuel L. Jackson and 50 Cent, but I had rocking good time in the audience.

The only thing that struck me as odd, however, was that Peter Jackson's King Kong won a bunch of times, and the title isn't even out yet. Who are the people judging this thing? It ain't people like us.
