    The Playable Space Invaders Carpet

    A Polish artist created this Carpet Invaders art installation from 2004. Old geometric designs of Persian rugs are mashed with Space Invaders' blocky graphics. The interactive piece ran through a PS2, and an overhead projected beamed the game onto the floor down below. The installation was injected the installation with some pretentious meaning, but the work's coolness speaks for itself. Brian Ashcraft
