Namco Bandai Games announced earlier today at the PlayStation Premiere 2007 event in Tokyo that the next game from the creator of Katamari Damacy would be Nobi Nobi Boy for the PLAYSTATION 3. Details on Keita Takahashi's newest creation were scarce, with the company showing only three pieces of artwork of what we assume to be the titular character.
The game, which is loosely translated at "Stretchy Stretchy Boy" or machine translated as "Unrestricted Boy", doesn't have a release date, nor did Namco Bandai reveal the game's genre. Given Takahashi's creativity, I'm going to assume that Nobi Nobi Boy will probably not adhere to any currently known genre.
This goes a long, long way to make reparations for the Xbox 360 exclusive release of the fourth Katamari game, in my personal, always correct opinion. Hopefully, we'll see much more of the game at the September Tokyo Game Show.

katamaris creator has said before that he didnt like the wii but i gotta say it downright stupid what he is doing, after looking at the controller you use i instantle though one end could by the wiimote the other a nunchuk. hopefully he wises up and realizes how much better this game can be with wii controls.
Quite frankly this excites me more than Beautiful Katamari ever did. After all we have two katamari games already (playable on PS3) and I doubt the gameplay would change much with the new hardware.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this pop up on Xbox Live Arcade as well as PLAYSTATION NETWORK upon release. Why limit it to one download service if it's not a first party game?
That said, I'm totally stoked for this regardless of platform.

I have no clue what this Nori Nori Boy could be, but I'll wait. Part of the orignal charm that was Katamari Damacy was that is was $20. You can't have $20 games on the PS3 right now, so I'll wait a few years.
Anyone follow the link? Is he holding up a peripheral? If he is, this could be a very, very cool new game. Of course, the character and the possible peripheral look goofy, but this guy knows what's fun. I really want to see what he comes up with.

360 gets the tired Katamari series, and PS3 owners get something new. I knew they couldn't completely screw us over.

I heard it was exclusive as confirmed at this event..It was either a moneyhat or that studio that Sony and Namco-Bandi started is starting to benefit Sony.

@eternalplayer2345: I can see your vision on the control but whose to say that is anything like the controls of the game are going to be. I dont think it couldn't work for Wii controls but we don't know enough to make that assumption maybe we will see the gameplay and say that it makes so much sense with the sixaxis or maybe it will be like you said.
