Just as Ratchet from the Ratchet & Clank series of PlayStation games was given a spotlight role in Ratchet Deadlocked, it appears his robotic sidekick will be on the receiving end of his own spin-off. One of the surprising and unannounced titles making an appearance at the Sony media event in Tokyo this evening was Secret Agent Clank, a PSP game featuring the fictional adventures of the bot who's half-backpack, half-gadget stuffed mystery.
The game was rumored to be in development at High Impact Games—creator of Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters for the PSP—earlier this year. While we don't have any official screens of the game yet, we expect it will be on the TGS show floor and hope to get some hands-on time with it.

Cool. More R&C makes me happy... IN MY PANTS!
I just pray to god it has better action and controls than the Clank segments in Up Your Arsenal.
Going Commando was the last good game for me.
Sweet! Sony's really taking the PSP seriously now. They're bringing some really quality titles in the near future. I can't wait to see this game in action. Clank has been on the sidelines for to line and now he's gonna debut as a spy? Epic.
@Buttah: to long*
edit button please >_<
I can't wait for that orgy of a Castlevania game (Symphony of the Night is one of my absolute favorites) on PSP.
I have to say, however, that I was very, very disappointed that the new PSP 2000 didn't include a second analog nub so you could play FPSs with a decent control scheme. Boo!
Check out gametrailers, there was a video up last time i was on. Looks like more Clank action with...drumroll...double jumping! He can finally double jump! Thats a purchase for me guaranteed.

They can't mess with the control scheme because current PSP owners wouldn't be able to play games that took advantage of the second nub.
Nice!! First Daxter and now Clank.
first daxter and now clank. microsoft will follow suit with the "buddy cop gone single" games and demand that Rare make kazooie's day off
Sounds cool. I hope they beef him up though! He wasn't too impressive when you step into his shoes in Ratchet and Clank 1.
@Mint: Agreed, it's often nice when sidekicks get the spotlight. Though in this case, the sidekick is the straight-foil of the pair, and we all know how boring Phil was on Bonus Stage.
I pray SOMEBODY remembers it with me.
In other news, this new layout of buttons is nice, but as it is technically change I find it infuriating and feel alienated.
I think the PSP version of R&C was the worst one out of all the games, mainly because the PSP doesn't have 2 analog sticks. But this Secret Agent Clank game sounds good.
