Long-serving SCE Italy boss Corrado Buonanno has resigned. And, according to Sony, it's got nothing to do with the announced job cuts. Nothing at all. It's just due to "normal business". David Reeves:

Corrado has been with Sony Computer Entertainment Italia for 12 years in which time we have seen PlayStation become a symbol for Italian people.

Buonanno leaves behind him a very strong PlayStation team, in whom we have the utmost confidence.

Italy isn't exactly short on national symbols, David...I don't think PlayStation is up there with Ferrari, pasta and football match-fixing scandals just yet.

Instead of announcing a successor, SCEE Chairman Reeves will be assuming Buonanno's duties, which to me says that maybe it did have something to do with the looming job cuts. Luke Plunkett
