Today, at 3:00 pm, Sony Computer Entertainment honcho Ken Kutaragi took the stage in Tokyo. He announced that the delayed PlayStation 3's release had been "revised" and now will launch in early November. What's more, the Blue-ray embedded gaming player will go on sale this fall in not only Japan, but also America and Europe.

To avoid current DS Lite and previous 360 shortages, the company will also be releasing a lot of machines at launch (one million). Sony did not disclose a list of upcoming Blu-ray games, focusing instead on hardware. The PS3's upgradable HD clocks in at 60 GB and runs on Linux. Kutaragi said that PlayStation 3's gaming experience will living, as in "4D."
