Press The Buttons has posted up some details on Silver the Hedgehog, the new addition to Sonic's phantasmagoria of anthropomorphic rodents. Apparently, Silver the Hedgehog is a time-traveller from the future who has come back into the past to prevent Sonic from triggering some unknown global cataclysm. We're betting there's a time travel paradox in there somewhere.

There have been a lot of complaints from journalists regarding the controls of the new 360 and PS3 Sonic game, but Press the Buttons found that the loose controls and too-fast character movement were pleasantly mitigated when playing Silver. Moving slower than Sonic and using telekinetic attacks to throw Buicks at gigantic cyborgs, Silver's apparently a lot of fun to play. He can even pluck bullets out of their air and propel them back at enemies. Sounds fun! They even posted an exclusive gameplay movie of Silver in action. Check it out if you're not sick to fucking death of Sonic already.
