The Shiny Awards 2007 handed out a European Gadget of the Year award to the Wii last night. Not sure why European, but I suppose gadget winners can't be choosers.
The Wii beat out the Apple iPod Nano.
Each year Shiny Media gathers together a bunch of British journalists and bloggers and hands out awards to gadgets. This year over half of the 5,000 votes cast named Wii the winner in that strange European gadget category.
Ya, so Wii wins an award for being shiny, I suppose.
