Back for more lawyer fun! Last week, a class action suit was filed in Florida, stating disks were damaged by the console. This week, yet another class action suit was filed in California and seeks $5 million for all Xbox 360 owners with games damaged by the console. From the suit:
Microsoft improperly and/or negligently manufactured the Xbox 360 console in a manner that causes the expensive game discs ... to be scratched, rendering the games unusable.
While Microsoft has recently acknowledged that a hardware problem, it hasn't acknowledged a disk-scratching defect. Microsoft responded to the Florida lawsuit and said that scratched disc complaints have not been significant at this point. Hey, you know, things scratch. So whatever!
