In gaming, "going gold" means that the final version has been sent out to be mass produced. According to an English site that's quoting a Russian site that's quoting a Dutch site that's quoting a Japanese outlet, the Nintendo Revolution has gone gold and will be out in May. That means that this rumored Revolution release would go head-to-head with the PS3, which means that rumored Halo 3 release would be the same day. Ha!

Note: I haven't been able to locate the original Japanese source material to confirm or debunk this.
