The German Games Convention, which you probably know better just as Leipzig, might be on the move if "several industry insiders" are to be believed. It seems that as the event gets bigger and bigger, a result of E3's "decline" and the increasing importance of the European market, the cozy little German city just can't handle the show anymore. Organisers are said to be looking at either Frankfurt or Köln for the 2008 event.
The problem isn't Leipzig's facilities, it's the city's location and transport options. It's only got a small airport, and is located in the far-less-trendy (and farther from France and the UK) SE of the country. Me, I hope it stays. Leipzig has a nice ring to it. Just rolls off the tongue.
