Target just cranked things up to 11 for retro gamers. Starting next month, the chain is going to sell the BigGames Home Video Arcade Machine. The slightly-smaller-than-in-the-arcade machine will be loaded with a dozen Midway games and comes with a built-in color monitor and A/V inputs so you can jack in other devices to the screen. It doesn't look like the controllers can be easily accessed, but I'm sure that's only a hack away. The machine will come with Defender, Defender II, Robotron, Joust, Bubbles, Splat, Sinistar, Rampage, Rootbeer Tapper, Wizard of Wor, Timber and Satans's Hollow.
I'm not sure if this replica would satisfy my itch for arcade gaming. I think I'd probably need the real deal, but this is still pretty damn cool.
