Nothing quite says Halloween like game related pumpkin carvings! Kotakuite thecrapple sent this along, writing:
I was bored this weekend so I decided to make a BioShock themed jack o' latern.
Not bad! Other bored folks, feel free to send along your pumpkin creations for us to marvel at. Yes, marvel.

WOW... that came out really good, hats off to you man
Now would you kindly carve up more Bioshock themed pumpkins.
Would you kindly make one of these for me.
Excellent! Let's break out the hard cider and kick back and wait for the YouTube demonstration. Get busy with the carving knives.
with what may be remembered as one of the most promising eras in videogame history, how could any self-respecting gamer be bored?!?
epoch checklist:
1. handheld gaming (with wifi) PWNS! check.
2. user interfacing (wii) PWNS! check.
3. graphical/audio immersion PWNS! check.
4. online community PWNS! check.
5. information gathering (kotaku) PWNS! check.
seriously folks, I've been a gamer for 33 years and these are exciting times! A new Golden Age--even sales reflect it! It'll only be fully realized 15-30 years from now.
I love carving jack-o-lanterns. But I hate trick-or-treaters. Kind of a quandary.
Thanks for the comments. I based the pumpkin off a shirt design by jdstone which he made for the bioshock threadless.com contest (better than the winner imo).
Because it is a black and white image, it was really easy to turn into a stencil. If anyone else wants to give it a try, the link is below.

i dont know how people do this. do you just scrape the surface??
Wow, I haven't carved a pumpkin in many years but this one is inspiring me to give it another go. Although mine won't even come close to how cool this one is!
@Husher: I'm guessing they use those fancy pumpkin carving kits that you see in the grocery store every year. The kits usually have a wide array of different tools for making all kinds of different incisions and cuts. Aside from that, I'm guessing a lot of people improvise to make other specialized tools out of various things they have around the house. One thing is for sure, you definitely can't make something like this with a big kitchen knife and a soup ladle.
I used an exacto knife and a drill with a small bit on it. Nothing fancy. IMO most pumpkin carving kits aren't that great, but I am no pumpkin expert.
Oh that's hot.
That's great work! Especially the little sister part.
Hey, it's MY design! It's very flattering that you used my design for a pumpkin and it turned out nice.
