Dear Sony,
In response to Ken Kutaragi's "promise" to create an "AV-centric PS3" which may retail for as much as $2500: No no no no no no no no no NO.
Even entertaining the idea of focusing any effort, time or money whatsoever on another PSX-type machine is stupid. The original PSX didn't sell because nobody wanted it. You've blown out the price of the PS3 by including swish multimedia capabilities as it is. And the PS3 itself has barely drawn its first breath; it does not need a more expensive, more talented sibling muscling in on its turf.
In short, why did you position the PS3 as the all-conquering monolith of the living room, and make it so expensive, if you intended to go and do this?
Hugs and kisses,
Kotaku
PS - I thought you kicked Ken upstairs to keep him quiet? His minder isn't doing a very good job.
