    More PSP "Lite" Buzz

Remember that rumor we posted about an updated PSP model coming this year? If not, our sources told us that a PSP "Lite" version was being readied, one that would include an improved screen, faster UMD drive, internal storage and, possibly, a built-in camera. Well, Next-Gen posted today that they, too, have been hearing some of the same rumors being circulated.

Sony is, according to industry tittle tattle, definitely working up a smaller lighter version of its handheld. Questions such as 'when' and 'what will they do about storage' aren't finding answers right now though the company is sticking with UMD.

With Sony's Gamers Day right around the corner, I wonder if the company has some surprises planned for us. Given that they're kicking off new marketing efforts that heavily feature the current version and just recently instituted a price drop, I have my doubts. Maybe at E3?
