This does not, fortunately, fall under PlayStation 3 eBay douchebaggery. Instead, it's painfully clear what you're getting. (You might want to lay down some plastic before continuing, as this auction might just blow your mind.)
The math? PS1 + PS2 = PS3. Gran Turismo 1 + Gran Turismo 4 = Gran Turismo 5. What? You're not sold yet? I'm going to let the seller take over.
Imagine being able to play Gran Turismo 1 at the same time as you're playing Gran Turismo 4 (two TVs required but not included). None of those other non-custom Playstation 3s out there allow you to play two games at once.
Think about that! Simultaneous gameplay! In addition, this bundle trumps the standard PlayStation 3's 4D gaming experience touted by Sony's Ken Kutaragi by giving you two 3D consoles, making this a 6D experience. Play beyond, indeed.
Custom built Sony Playstation 3. PS1 + PS2 = PS3 (Thanks, Tyler!)

How/why does it have so many bids??O_O
I was reading the questions being asked to the seller in the auction:
Q: Do you have plans to release a Playstation 6 in the future?
A: No, that's just ridiculous. I'm not made of duct tape.
I honestly hope this guy sells it for a bunch of money, becaues that's awesome.
I would think that if Sony's PR people even sniffed this story they would be trying to put a positive spin on it as with every other bocthed move made so far, with so much sh*t flying around and with Stringer running his mouth they wouldn't know any diffrent. From the looks of it with a PS2 "on board" we should be able to "JaCK inTo thE MaTrix" and will get to also make great use of the emotion engine.
Has he duct taped over the disc drive?
Nice
Yeah, it's awesome except for the fact that GT4 is now permanently in the PS2. Who am I kidding would anyone WANT to play anything else?
Q: Dear seller, My name is Mr D. Snoop From UK. I am interested in Buying your item which i saw on Ebay ... through bank transfer,and i need your full name and your bank details for the payment, I await yourquickest response You can reply me to this e mail{snoopdogg@mailinator.com}
A: I would prefer if I could just pay you to take it. I await your swift reply.
I wonder if the Nigerians thought that good spelling/grammar and plausible names would actually work against their ploy.
I think we should spam "Mr D. Snoop"'s email with fake bank accounts. With any hope, he's gonna try them all.
im surprised this wasn't thought of sooner as the idea is fool proof in every aspect. i would give this man a prosthetic leg if i had one.
48 bids?
I've lost my faith in the world. D:
it just got ganked. I'm sad now. This one had made my day...
aw damn i missed it! looked worthy of a laugh

LMFAO, made my day.
Seriously, the PS3 picture stayed up, but this gets yanked? As if eBay wasn't evil enough already.
Nintendo 128? Nintendo WiiWii? Nintendo QS (quadscreen). The possibilities never end!
item was removed :(
Interestingly, I'm blocked by my employer's firewall from going to that website because it's categorized as "criminal skills." I'm not sure what it means, but it's funny as long as the IT people don't give my supervisor a call to inquire about my browsing habits.
You can still view the listing by using Google cache.

Just paste in the link from up there.
Good stuff, good stuff!
No! I was biding on it. (yeah, I know it was a PSone and a PS2).
Well, it went past $150, which is the most I was bidding anyway.
So, even with two old consoles duct-taped together, does anyone know if this is less likely to burst into flame than a store-bought PS3? Or if it's smaller?
purple dave:
I think its equivalent to a 360 and it's power brick together.
LOL, this guy is a genius
eBay cancelled the auction apparently because he was advertising to sell upgraded tape for an additional price (that they could not collect fees from), so it has been relisted:
