In case you slept on the news, the PS3 launched in Europe and Australia/New Zealand today. The PAL territories. Sony heartland, the guys who snapped up nearly half of all PS2s sold at last time of counting. So was the opening night/day a roaring success?
From what we've heard thus far, not so much.
One thing it did have going for it was the bizarre nature of the goings-on: while November 2006 was a little tarnished by eBay scalping and shootings, March 2007 will be remembered for mass indifference, batshit loco Germans and a boat with a kind-hearted message.
