Enough with the details.
Sony had a surprising number of games on offer to play around with, some rusty old NTSC launch titles, some a bit more recent.
All games were being displayed on final retail PS3s, and were hooked up to Bravias via HDMI. On the floor were:
- Motorstorm - Feels really, really good. Slippery controls suit it, and it looks mighty pretty.
- Resistance - Looks nice enough, but that new name or not, them Sony pads can't do FPS games.
- fl0w - Nice. But I've already played it.

- Formula 1 - Is as good as everyone said it looks. Will probably need the full game to get a better idea of it though, since the driving aids on the demo did half the driving for me.
- Ridge Racer - Uh...yeah.
- Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - Would have impressions, but couldn't bring myself to play it. Been there.
- F.E.A.R. - Tucked away in a dark corner. And for a good reason. Next to Resistance it looks shit-awful.
- Gran Turismo HD - Lush, but the handling felt a little "off", the 2D backgrounds are odd and [insert well-worn "I miss rumble" statement of your choosing]
- NBA 07 - Not a very good basketball game.
- Tony Hawks Project 8 - Looked nice, but again, played it already
- Fight Night - Looked great, but felt...yeah, no rumble
And maybe one or more two games, I can't remember. It was dark, it was busy, they were giving out beer.
In closing: some of these games (Motorstorm, F1) looked fantastic, and should probably do OK. But I'm not sold on the Sixaxis. It feels cheap, none of the tilt functions in games (fl0w excepted) on offer were any good and the thumbsticks are STILL awful for FPS games. Not what I'd be expecting for AUD$79.95.
