GameSpy has an excellent write up of Age of Empires III over on their site. They call the real-time strategy game, "graphically the most ambitious RTS ever developed" and say that its design is exceptionally tight tight like a tiger.

The four page review goes into the new Home City concept, dealing with the "natives" as they put it, building an economy and other stuff. All I can add to this is, where's my copy. I'm a huge fan of this franchise and have been agonizing over whether to get a copy of AOE3 or Empire Earth 2, because my puny brain only has enough space to master one of them. I'm leaning toward AOE right now because it looks like Earth 2, while fantastically cool, is just a bit too sprawling in nature to my tastes and doesn t bring a whole lotta new to the table. Of course I'm saying this based on viewing one ad in a magazine, so take it for what it's worth.
