OK, so it's only one ball, and it's blue, but I couldn't resist. So everyone is waiting outside the doors to the main theater today where Tycho and Gabe will be taking the state to answer questions and amuse everyone.

As time goes by people start to get really bored and then suddenly one of those big blue balls from the keynote appears and people start bouncing it around. Before you know it the crowd really gets into.

Within about 15 minutes, they entire bottom floor of attendees is trying to get that blue ball up to the second floor. Once it gets there, they try for the third, and then finally the fourth. It was kinda freaky. People were chanting "All hail the ball" and cheering when it got past the second floor. The few times someone tried to stop it, after, say, it cold-cocked an unsuspecting gamers in the chin, the crowd would get surly and boo until it got started up again.

Later, once everyone was inside and settled Tycho and Gabe said they had heard all of the noise outside and didn't know what to think.
