Whenever a large game company deems it necessary to ship a game in anything less than a full-size case...wherever gamers scream out for a better way to display their favorite titles than a small cardboard sleeve...the Cover Project is there. This time around they've got a full-size CD sleeve insert ready before the game is in most player's hands, with a custom made cover for Link's Crossbow Training ready for download at the link below. Create by Shenske, it is every bit as cool as the full retail cover of the game, only it actually exists. The Cover Project is also an excellent resource for people who buy used games from EB and GameStop without the original packaging. Nice job!

Good find! I would never remeber to look for it there and I did realise that it came in a card CD holder only (when McWhertor unveiled the contnted of the box), wich made me >:( a bit.
Now, I only need a White Jewel case ad a PAL version of that, and im good to go. ^_^
Holy crap, thanks for the link! Meteos...you finally don't stick out like a sore thumb!
Ohhhhhhhhh... now all I need to do is find a color printer in my College. Any clue where a man can find empty Wii cases?
I bought a white DVD case from the Ninendo online store a while back for a Wii Sports case. These are the same guys who provided me with the sleeve insert. Excellent site!
Thats pretty cool and sure makes up for Nintendo not actually giving it a proper case. Now i only wish i could buy an empty Xbox 360 case in the UK but i don't know any place that sells them.
@SanjiX: i get mine from buying wii points
Nice find - I must invest in some white dvd cases =) Loads on ebay btw [search.ebay.ie]
The White Wii Cases are indeed hard to come by in single quantities. I was thinking about ordering a bunch, inserting the Wii Sports insert, and giving them out for Christmas to my Wii friends.
I didn't even know this project existed, but it looks really neat to me. It always bugged me that Wii Sports didn't come in a good case.
I've been there before. Great site. Spruced up my Wii sports nicely.
Official white Wii DVD cases are available from the Nintendo Store. They ship pretty quickly.
You know what's pretty freeing? Tossing all your game, movie, and cd cases and using binders. Saves a ton of space and the headache of having to organize and move all that mess.
whats the best paper to print this on? in the past i used photo paper, and while it works great, its a bit too sturdy for my tastes.
Did the same thing for WiiSports. Hate a messy looking collection on the rack.
@bigman88zz: Once you get it in the case, you won't even notice how sturdy it is. You wouldn't want anything much thinner running through your home printer anyway.
Wow! That looks great. I already downloaded the Crossbow Training and the WiiSports covers. Now just to find some White Cases and I am all set!
kinda off topic but wasnt the Wii Zapper w/ crossbow training priced at $19.99 when announced? why is it that everywhere is selling it for $24.99??
@Figcoinc:
you could get white cases at blockbuster if you ask nicely
Thanks for the link! Now time to hunt for some white cases!
@MrDemonicAngel:
I will give that a try. Thanks!
Tagging so I can find the site. I forgot it long ago, and I need to print out a copy of God Hand's cover as it came used and without one.
@FightingChance: I gotta second this. I must have tossed 3 or 4 garbage bags worth of CD, DVD and game cases over the years, and all the remaining sleeves/books/artwork take up very little space.
And, as I just found out when I nuked my PS2 collection, GameStop doesn't care if you have cases when you trade games in.
But if anyone in Portland is dying for a couple of extra Wii cases, I still have mine from Galaxy and Zack&Wiki...
Us in Europe get cases as usual for Link's Crossbow Training and Wii Sports.
That cover arts somehow makes me want to add "Tom Clancy's" before the name of the game.
@Ilia Chentsov: Heh, that made me lol a little.
Thanks for the link, my copy of Rez has been naked after loaning it out. Now it can be seen in public again.
Shenske did a bang up job on this cover. I got him the scans late yesterday afternoon and he had this whipped out and online by about 4am local time. Looks like it was a retail cover.
Hey Snocone :) I was just on my way to check out your site for this exact project and Kotaku saved me a step. Guess that saves me a lot of time of having to come up with my own version ^_^ I still have some of the white cases that came out with those one cent demo cases from Activision exactly a year ago. God bless all you custom art-cover makers ^_^
I wish that we would have had 1 cent Activision demos here; I looked and looked, but never saw them. Thanks to some tips from last week, I looked in my DVD collection and found that some of the kids movies have white cases, so I will just put those in some blank black ones and not have to hassle with buying cases directly from Nintendo.
It's a nice thought but the maker of this clearly doesn't know very much about image editing. A lot of the elements have outlines where they were cut out and most of the images have moire patterns from the scan. It looks good from a distance though.
White CD cases:
Christmas Movies
Toys'R'Us
That is all. =)
Woah, I thought that was an official cover. Very nice.
You know, I would chuck most of my cases, except I don't have any binders that'll neatly hold GameCube Games, which is most of my collection. I like to keep cases for games I like.
@Dudemeister3: yeah... that's exactly what i was thinking
great job on the cover
@colemanfrancis: That is ironic considering the source of the cover was not separated artwork, but the paper sleeve of LCT. I should know as I am the one that scanned it. The cover looks fine, unless of course you hang your game cases on a wall as artwork...
many Disney movies come in white dvd cases, way easier than ordering a whole bunch...
