This week's Media Create hardware sales are, admittedly, a tad late. While I'm sure many Friday afternoon hardware junkies were feeling that pre-weekend sales fix scratching from the insides of their skin, some things must suffer in the name of the three-day weekend. That said, if you missed out on Japanese hardware sales for the week of May 14th to the 20th, you didn't miss much.
The Nintendo DS Lite still sits atop the hardware mountain, yet, among a relatively light week of software releases, shifted a respectable 111K. Everything else is in its right place, with the Wii also hitting a low point similar to the first week in April and Sony hardware maintaining steady, but unimpressive sales figures.
- Nintendo DS Lite - 111,213
- Wii - 52,193
- PSP - 27,505
- PlayStation 2 - 10,881
- PLAYSTATION 3 - 8,659
- Xbox 360 - 2,026
- Game Boy micro - 428
- Game Boy Advance SP - 330
Way to barely drop further into 4-digit sales territory, PS3! Most impressive.
