The two biggest video game/toy companies in Japan merge, and all they have to show for it is a plastic egg with a toy in it. (Though that is better than the fruits of AOL and Time Warner.) Thanks to the newly united Namco and Bandai monolith, capsule toys are hitting U.S. shores.
Bandai, one of the largest gacha gacha ("capsule") toy producers, will be taking advantage of Namco s vast U.S. arcades to distribute the capsule via vending machines. Throughout Osaka and Tokyo, there are even stores that even specialize only in capsule content, which ranges from Street Fighter figs to miniature appliances. Just realize that some dude bought a truck load of capsules and opened each one up, only to get the same damn Dragon Ball Z figurine.
