Games that Adjust to Emotions

The Mercury News is reporting that some game developers are working with a device to develop games that would sense a gamer s emotions and automatically adjust.

The device, made by BioControl Systems, senses nerve impulses in the brain. Initally, the device used electrodes, but new technology has allowed the company to make the device smaller, portable and less intrusive.

Co-Founder Ben Knapp says that one way a game developer could use their device is to allow the game to sense when a gamer gets bored and spice things up a bit. He also acknowledged that the whole thing is pretty freaky.

It's kind of creepy to have a game that knows what you are feeling.'
