With no NHL season forthcoming thanks to salary disputes, Electronic Arts is providing weekly updates on a simulation of a season they're running using their hockey game, NHL 2005. While the team rosters are up to date, the league schedule is just the 2002-2003 schedule recycled. Of course, any fan could do this themselves with the game, but this is the "official" one. EA is giving out detailed rundowns of each simulated game to the Canadian press, who will then supposedly run real stories on them, lest the Canadian diet become severely deficient in Vitamin H.
