Just got word on a wicked cool art show hitting Hollywood in April. I am 8-bit captures the old school game memories of nearly 100 artists in an eclectic collection of paintings on canvas, paper, wood and explosives.

Artists include Ashley Wood, of Contra: Shattered Soldier and Metal Gear Solid comic fame; Doug TenNapel, creator of Earthword Jim; Steve Purcell, of Sam & Max glory; and Gary Baseman, creator of Teacher s Pet. The show kicks off April 19 and wraps up May 18, just in time for E3. I got a sneak peek at some of the art and it blew me away, especially the Pac Man grenade.
