Nintendo Coming In November To Australia?

According to the upside down employees of Toys 'R' Us in Australia, the release date for the Wii is November. The same November that the Wii kicks the crap out of the PS3.

With a neat compact design combined with state-of-the-art processing technologies the Nintendo Wii takes interactive gaming to a whole new level. The amazing wireless controller becomes a tennis raquet, baseball, golf club - practically anything! Now you can interact with your favourite games! Releasing in November.

Reserve your Nintendo Wii today with a $50 deposit and collect one free game for your console at launch.

Blind retail guess or accurate portent of the very month in which you will get your grubby mitts on the most phallically controlled console out there? You decide!

  • So it's launching is Aussie in Nov, so if it's not world-wide, and US tends to get stuff earlier... We're looking at a Oct release for the USA. HOORAY! then again, it's still just speculation, so I'm not holding my breath, but as soon as preorders are go, I'm slapping my $50 down.

  • I would not be too surprised if they picked the game... and the game was Duckhunt Wii. If not, the deal sounds absolutely amazing. If so, still awesome - Duckhunt Wii.

  • Hah, the linked site (ugh, flash) now just says "before Christmas!"

  • I do know that a few weeks ago, I bugged someone at Gametraders if there was a release date on the system for the Wii. He said November 30th was what they had in the system, but that was a very preliminary date. Of course, he also mentioned that, Nintendo Australia being how it is, that release date was almost certainly a very optimistic figure. (The actual release date for Nintendo Australia stuff generally being "Whenever a shipment of warranty return units from Europe arrives down under")
