Wii Launches In Singapore

So yesterday the Wii was sorta-officially launched in Singapore (since it's such a small region distribution is handled by Maxsoft, not Nintendo themselves). Via local site GameAxis we've learned that the pricing is a little super-expensive, even when you take into account the fact it's not a direct launch. Retailers are apparantly force-bundling the console with an extra Wii Remote and a game for S$649 (USD$428), which is bad enough for the price, but heinous when you learn the bundled game is Sonic.

Shit is cold, Nintendo. What'd Singapore ever do to you?
