I've been a little down on this project. Don't see the point of it. Speedball 2 was perfectly fine the way it was, there's no need to go making it all shiny and clean. I liked it better when it was clunky and dirty.
The above clip does nothing to change my mind. Urgh.
And yet! Eurogamer sat down with it the other day, and while it was still early code, they had an absolute blast . And since they're the only people to have played it, we're going to have to take their word for it. At least until somebody else plays it and says it's rubbish and that they shouldn't have tinkered with Speedball 2 because it was an all-time classic and it's all just a bit silly. Then we'll take their word for it.
