According to a rumour posted up over at Next-Gen, Nintendo are trimming their workforce fat over at their Redmond HQ. And not just the marketing types involved in the move to NY, either: their source indicates those given the arse are "key players who develop relationships with external developers, not necessarily marketing functions". After seeking clarification with George Harrison, they say:
Nintendo doesn't comment on the job status of individuals affected by Nintendo's decision to move some operations out of Washington State. But he said that such changes are appropriate now while the wind is at Nintendo's back, with the success of Wii and DS.Juicy. And ruthless. But totally unconfirmed. So nibble on that salt, you know the drill.
