Monster Hunter is one of those games that sounds great on paper, but shunt it onto the marketplace and for some reason or other it just doesn't take off. By all accounts (I haven't played it; the thought of taking my PS2 online fills me with dread) the first game was great, but yeah, like I said, the PS2 and online didn't exactly see eye-to-eye.
Which means the decision to release a PC version (Monster Hunter Frontier) makes a bit more sense, what with its online capabilities slightly more robust. Then again...I've heard there are other games that PC gamers play online. Games with levels, and instances, and loot, and that Monster Hunter may find the marketplace a wee bit too crowded.
Capcom, just a word of advice: you might want to try the 360 with this one.
