It must be tough being Mad Catz. Being known solely for making rubbish peripherals that you only thrust upon the most unwelcome of house guests can't be too good for their self esteem. It's gangbusters for their bank balance, though, as they've just announced mad profits. Where the previous year they'd operated at a loss, last year saw them turn a profit of USD$6.4 million.
The bulk of this upturn in fortunes can be attributed to their licensing deal with the NFL, as well as a whole bunch of Wii and PS3 controllers, add-ons and other gimmicky little bits of plastic that found their way into little Johnny's Christmas stocking.
