Anyone who got through to the back page of the last Edge FILE compilation would have seen a teaser for a "new Edge special edition". It wasn't another FILE, because that was the last one, and they've already done the whole retro thing, so it had to be something else.

What it is, I like. It's called "Edge Presents The Art Of Videogames", and it's a 260-page tome of game art (concept art, renders, etc) from a bunch of the industry's leading artists and art teams. Among the featured games/series are Half Life 2, Dead Rising, God of War, Jet Set Radio, Killer7, Okami, Super Paper Mario, BioShock and Prince of Persia.

It's out today if you're in the US, yesterday if you're in the UK. Anywhere else, give it a day or two. Luke Plunkett
